Behaviour And Appearance:

Grey with white back. In average, the Fin whale will surface every 4 minutes although it can remain underwater for up to 20 minutes. First the spout will emerge, followed by the back fin. The back will be rounded at the last surfacing. The Fin whale does not show its tail when diving.The spout is about 5 m high, shaped like an inversed v.

Facts:

One of the fastest whale with 30 knots (55 km/h) peaks.

Frequency of sightings of this species in Forillon:

Regularly seen from June to October. Often in a group of a few individuals.
