These risks may include, but are not limited to:

  • injuries due to falls or sudden movements (sprain, strain, fracture, etc.)

  • exposure to cold or hypothermia

  • injuries resulting from accidental contact between participants

  • splashes or contact with water

2. Health status

If you have physical, emotional, or behavioural health issues that may limit your participation in the activity, you must inform the company representative before departure.

3. Assumption of risk

I certify that the information recorded on this form is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I certify that I have not deliberately omitted any information about my health status, whether relevant or not. I understand that the activities offered by Croisières Baie de Gaspé take place in semi-natural or natural environments which, as a result, are farther from medical services. This could lead to long delays in an emergency requiring evacuation and, therefore, a possible worsening of my condition or injury. Having read these risks, I acknowledge that I have been informed of the inherent risks of the activities and that I am able to take part in the activity WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE FACTS AND BY ACCEPTING THE RISKS that this activity may involve. I also agree to play an active role in managing these risks by adopting a preventive attitude toward myself and toward the other people around me. The captain reserves the right to exclude any person he deems to represent a risk to themselves or to the rest of the group. I understand that I may leave this activity for any reason.

4. Drugs and alcohol

I agree not to consume, not to have in my possession, and not to be under the influence of any drugs, illicit substances, or medications (prescription or over-the-counter) that are not mentioned in section 2) of this form. I also confirm (not to be under the influence of alcohol / to be below the blood alcohol limit of 80 mg per 100 ml of blood, commonly known as “point zero eight”), and to remain so for the entire duration of the activity. I understand that any breach of these rules on my part may result in my being expelled without notice, with no possibility of a refund.

5. Property release

I waive any claim, as well as any lawsuit for damages, for any damage to property and equipment belonging to me. (Normal wear and tear, loss, breakage, theft, vandalism.)

6. Authorization in case of emergency

In the event of an accident or emergency situation:

I authorize Croisières Baie de Gaspé to provide the necessary first aid.

I also authorize the company to decide to transport me to a healthcare facility (ambulance, helicopter, coast guard, or other), at my own expense if necessary.

TICKET SALES POLICY

If the cruise is cancelled by Croisières Baie de Gaspé due to force majeure, or because operating the cruise would be unsafe, illegal, or impossible, Croisières Baie de Gaspé’s liability will never exceed a refund of the amounts received.

Croisières Baie de Gaspé assumes no responsibility for inconveniences caused by delays and the customer will not be refunded in the event of a delay. It is a good idea to allow extra time when travelling, because from early June to mid-October there may be roadwork, many vacationers on the road, and a wait time at the park’s south entrance gate to Forillon National Park.

By accepting a ticket, the holder accepts the above conditions as well as the conditions stated on the ticket.
